North-East Assembly Election Result 2018: Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland elections today

According to Election Commission officials, counting in all the three states will start from 8 AM. In Tripura this year, 91 per cent voting took place, while in Meghalaya and Nagaland, 67 per cent and 75 per cent of the voters voted. In Meghalaya, Congress had fielded 59 candidates while BJP contested 47 candidates.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma is contesting from two seats. In Nagaland , BJP has joined hands with NDPP. The NDPP was formed by former Chief Minister Nafiyu Rio. In Nagaland, NDPP is contesting 40 seats and BJP is contesting on 20 seats.
